Taylor Swift Cake Mishap: A Horror-Show of Heartbreak, But We’ve Got Your Back, Elza!
By Ray Swift
Yesterday may have been Halloween, but the horror didn’t end when the trick-or-treating did. At the NEC in Birmingham, cake artist Elza Baldzhiyska’s Taylor Swift creation was damaged en route, and let us tell you, the cake was not “Delicate” in its demise.
This life-size masterpiece, dressed in Taylor’s iconic blue-and-white sequin gown from The Eras Tour, ended up missing her hands, with cracks across her shoulder and golden locks—cue a collective “Sad Beautiful Tragic” from Swifties everywhere. As if that wasn’t enough, she even looked bent sideways at the knees, ready to “Shake It Off.” It was like watching “The Story of Us” told through confectionary carnage.
Elza, who is famed for her award-winning realistic cakes, reportedly spent over 100 hours on her Taylor Swift cake. And if you’re thinking, “Hey, that’s a lot of love and work!”—you’re right. It’s not fair that the hands ended up looking like they’d starred in a low-budget horror movie. You’d think there was some “Bad Blood” with that delivery truck, but we’re sending Elza all our love instead.
One witness said, “Elza is understandably disappointed and shocked by the damage, but she’s an absolute professional and will fix it.” Unfortunately, the cake has been pulled from the show for now, but we’re hoping she can get back on that metaphorical “White Horse” soon.
The cake was created for Cake International, an event that runs from today until Sunday (November 3). This is a space that’s all about artistry and talent—and honestly, Elza deserves the “King of My Heart” award for her dedication. She’s an artist who doesn’t just bake; she “creates sparks fly.”
Ray Swift’s Perspective: Swifties, We Know What We Need to Do
Swifties, it’s time to rally. Elza’s been through something that just isn’t fair. A Taylor Swift cake deserves to be adored and celebrated, not damaged on the way to the party! We’re calling on all of you—head over to her Instagram, @nightwitchscakes, and let her know she’s got an entire army of Swifties behind her. Let’s remind her that no matter what, her talent “…is the best thing that’s ever been mine.”
Leave her a comment, throw some love, and let her know we’re ready to “Begin Again” whenever she is! We think that she would have won the Cake International show for sure because #TaylorCake, need I say more?
Leave your thoughts in the comments, Swifties! Did you want to take bite of this Taylor Swift cake? Head back to news for more stories!
