Welcome to our new interview series, “Swifties of Instagram,” where we spotlight some of the most popular and influential fanfluencers from the Taylor Swift community. This week, we’re proud to kick off the series with an exclusive interview featuring Swiftie TV (@swiftietaylorsver).

In this series, we aim to take you behind the curtain, offering a glimpse into the lives of the people behind your favorite Taylor Swift-related Instagram accounts. You’ll get to hear directly from the Swifties of Instagram, as they share their stories, the moments that sparked their love for Taylor, and what drives them to keep celebrating her artistry. We hope this series becomes a space where Swifties can have their say and reflect on what made them fall in love with Taylor Swift in the first place.

And without further ado, here is our interview with Swiftie TV!

1. Tell us about yourself! How did you first discover Taylor Swift, and what inspired you to become a Swiftie fanfluencer? How long have you been running your Swiftie TV Instagram account?

My name is Manan, I’m 16 years old. I am an aspiring singer-songwriter, you can find my covers @13sings (Instagram)! On the Red tour, Taylor used to call a guest with her to perform some nights and one of those guests was Cher Lloyd- who I was a fan of at that time. That is how I first discovered Taylor 😉 I have been running Swiftie TV for almost 1.6 years now!

2. Was there a specific song or moment that sparked your Taylor Swift fandom?

The song ‘Red’ was what sparked my passion towards Taylor’s music. I went on to stream 1989 24×7 but it was my sister who told me about the ‘Delicate’ music video which ended up making me a hardcore fan!

3. Which Taylor Swift album holds a special place in your heart, and why?

The album, ‘folkore’ will forever hold a place in my heart! I remember lying on the floor in the dark, listening and sometimes crying to it during the Covid lockdown. It was a terrible time for me. The song ‘epiphany’ (track 13), is my favorite track. “Keep your helmet, keep your life son. Just a flesh wound, here’s your rifle.”

4. Can you pick your three favorite Taylor Swift songs and share why they’re meaningful to you?

Like I mentioned before, ‘epiphany’ holds a special place in my heart. I’ve been listening to ‘Sweet Nothings’, ‘New Year’s Day’ and ‘You’re On Your Own Kid’ a lot lately, but all the albums make an important part of my life! It really depends on the situation.

5. Is there a lesser-known Taylor track that you feel deserves more recognition from fans?

I see so many tracks for folkmore get mislabelled all the time and that’s really the saddest thing. But I know these are not commonly listened to albums and the assumptions will always be there 🙁

6. What are your hopes for Taylor’s next album? Any genres or themes you’d love her to explore?

Oh you know everyone has been talking about TS12 being called ‘Karma’ and being a rock album. I would absolutely love that! If I’m a river, she’s my wind. When she released TTPD, I felt depressed all the time. When she put out Lover, I felt super happy all the time. It goes like that you know? I definitely would love to feel a little rock-ish now and then 🙂

7. Do you think Taylor might return to her country roots, or are you more excited for her to continue evolving her sound?

As Taylor once said, “I have seen female artists reinvent themselves a thousand times more than male artists. We’ve got to.” I think that pretty much sums it up. We might have a brief country revisit with Debut TV in late 2025 – early 2026 but I don’t think we’ll be going back.

8. As a Swiftie fanfluencer, how do you connect with the community, and what’s been your most memorable interaction with fans?

I find myself freaking out every single day whenever I look at the numbers, “Oh my god! I have a 100,000 people following me, oh my god, oh my god.” It’s a constant stream of self-doubt, changing content types, researching- failing, then getting up again. I absolutely adore the fans! I have been doing back-to-back giveaways for the last 18 weeks and the fans love it, the sponsors love it, it’s so wholesome! Best of all? I receive the most loving messages all the time from supporters and fans alike and it really makes my heart absolutely melt!

9. Do you collaborate with any other fanfluencers that you’d like to give a shout-out to?

Most of us have a group together, and everyone is so supportive! Olivia Levin, Reagan Bailee, Ellie, Autumn- the amazing Andreas and countless others have been a constant stream of motivation and sweetness! I absolutely love our little creator community!

10. How has Taylor’s music impacted your life on a personal level?

Taylor’s music has changed my life. It is kind of my whole identity LOL but not because she owns me- but because she really knows me (iykyk). Her music brings a new era to all our lives and I think that is why we are the biggest longest standing fandom ever.

11. What message would you like to share with both new and long-time Swifties as they continue to enjoy or discover Taylor’s music?

Pay attention to the lyrics. In my opinion, those really matter. And obviously, enjoy! Her music will take you places you’ve never been- sad, beautiful, tragic.
